Ithar M. Hassan is a Juris Doctor candidate at American University Washington College of Law. Ithar previously studied at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies.
Her legal experience spans civil rights litigation, election law, and congressional investigations. She has interned with the American Civil Liberties Union, the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and is currently a summer legal intern at the Fair Elections Center. Ithar also has extensive experience in political organizing and voter protection work with the Democratic Party of Virginia, where she led voter outreach, trained volunteers, and coordinated legal compliance efforts.
