Elena Edwards is a proud Texan and graduate of the University of Texas, where her interest in voting rights began through volunteer work registering student voters on campus. As an undergraduate, she interned with Public Citizen’s Democracy Is For People campaign, supporting legislative efforts to strengthen voting rights. Now a rising 3L at The George Washington University Law School, she continues to pursue her commitment to democracy and civic engagement through coursework and legal internships. She previously interned with Government Accountability Project’s Democracy Protection Initiative, where her work focused on issues related to government transparency and electoral integrity. This summer, she is excited to intern with Fair Elections Center and gain hands-on experience in voting rights litigation.
